Life has finally come to a slowdown. I graduated on December 17th, with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. My family and boyfriend came from out of town to see me, so that made me super thrilled.
My decorated cap!
I had went to my local craft store, bought two foam glitter letters (for my initials) that were about 6 inches tall, a pack of rhinestones, and tacky glue. Some odd or minutes later, this was my finished product.
Parents and my boyfriend!
I, unfortunately, didn’t take any pictures of me in my dress! What was I thinking? Actually, I was running late and didn’t put two&two together to take pictures. I wore a Diane Von Furstenberg “Laura” dress, and Steve Madden “Beestow” pumps, and some $5 tights from Target. I felt amazing.
4 days until Christmas, can you believe it? Time has flown by, for sure.
There’s something about the day after Halloween: the air seems a bit more crisp, colors seem to change, and the holiday season seems closer. Retail stores get into the spirit with their window displays, holiday-themed merchandise, and music. Being a fashion merchandising major, I am OBSESSED with that! It’s like an art to me. However, I’m psycho enough to see what the outfit of the day will be for Thanksgiving, Christmas, AND New Year’s Eve!
Without further ado, welcome to Rachel Getting Fashion! This is my place to review, rant, ramble, and rave about fashion, products, beauty, life, deals, steals, gift ideas, tips. More about me; I’m 23, a (kind-of?) college graduate within an awesome Fashion Merchandising program, sales associate at a high-end department store, and in a newly-but-serious relationship with an awesome guy.
Consider this the most uninteresting post ever, but, tomorrow will be a new and better post.
